Exam season is officially here, which means a few changes to the hours of your Students’ Union owned and operated businesses and services. From service closures to modified hours between now and winter break, we’ve collected everything you need to know right here for the rest of December.

SUB

This is your 24/7 space to study, snack, and relax all throughout exam season. Just bring your ONEcard to access the secured entrances from 10PM to 6:30AM. SUB will be closed for the holidays starting 5PM on December 24, re-opening at 7AM on January 2, 2026.

Daily Grind (SUB & UCommons)

Both Daily Grind locations will have extended hours (M-F, 7:30AM to 9PM) until December 19. They will re-open January 5, 2026.

Dewey’s

Grab a bite and study in your cozy campus pub. Dewey’s daily hours until December 19 are:

• Monday, December 8: 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM Last call
• Tuesday, December 9: 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM Last call
• Wednesday, December 10: 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM Last call
• Thursday, Dec 11: 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM last call
• Friday, Dec 12: 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM last call
• Monday, Dec 15: 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM last call
• Tuesday, Dec 16: 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM last call
• Wednesday, Dec 17: 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM last call
• Thursday, Dec 18: 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM last call
• Friday, Dec 19: 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM last call

InfoLink

InfoLink help desks across campus are available throughout exam season to answer your questions, rent you a board game for your next brain break, and help you find your lost items during the following hours:

• December 8-12: Regular hours at ALL locations
• December 15-19: Regular hours at MOST locations, except:
  • CAB InfoLink desk - CLOSED
  • SUB main floor - Monday to Friday, 10AM to 1:30PM (then CLOSED until January)
  • Student Service Centre (UCommonns) - Monday to Friday, 9:15AM to 4PM (then CLOSED until Jan)
• Dec 22-24: Most locations CLOSED except:
  • Student Life Central (lower level SUB) - 9AM to 5PM (last day open Dec 23)
  • ONEcard office (HUB) - 8:30AM to 4:30PM (may close earlier on Dec 24)
  • International Service Centre (Telus) - 8:30AM to 4PM (may close earlier Dec 24)

Peer Support Centre

From December 8 to 17, the PSC will be open during modified hours to support your mental health through exam season. Drop in Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 11AM to 3PM, or Tuesday/Thursday 11AM to 4PM.

Safewalk

Call Safewalk to walk with you around campus or within 20 minutes of most LRT stations Monday to Friday, from 7PM to midnight, until December 19.

SUBmart

Get your study supplies and snacks, or pick up your UASU Perks prizes at SUBmart during regular hours (M-F, 7:30AM to 6PM) until December 23, and closing a bit earlier (around 5PM) on December 24. SUBmart will re-open January 4, 2026. 

SUBprint

SUBprint is maintaining regular hours (M-F, 9AM to 5PM) for all of your last-minute printing needs until December 23.

SustainSU Bike Library & Workshop

Good news if you’re biking to campus to study and write finals. The Bike Library & Workshop will be open during regular hours until December 18. It will re-open January 6, 2026.

As I write this post, RATT Café (Monday to Thursday) and Room At The Top (Friday) are already closed for the semester. The Café will re-open on January 5, and you can celebrate the start of the new semester at RATT on January 9.
