Well folks, this is officially my last blog post for Student Group Services as your Student Coordinator! It has been so fun writing all of these SGS articles this year, and hopefully you have gotten as much enjoyment out of them as I have. A transition period is happening with Student Group Services right now so here is a comprehensive guide to what’s coming up.

Three new coordinators have been hired this year for Student Group Services! Right now they are learning all about their new jobs and coming up with fun ideas for how to best serve you. Our trusty Program Lead Selen and SRA Specialist Annie are still here and working hard to make sure your emails get answered and proposals get approved, but don’t be surprised if it takes a bit longer while everyone gets situated.

While our team is in training, please expect that it will take a bit longer for your Student Group Registration requests to be reviewed. We will still get through them, but our response time may be two to three weeks.

If you have a fun new idea for a student group, please hold that thought. Our New Group Proposal form will open again on June 1st! While waiting to submit your proposal you can work on planning more information about your group, including what you want to accomplish and how you hope it will run.

Lastly, we are slowly beginning to plan out Fall Clubs Fair 2022! This is a big event that takes a lot of time to prepare, and there will be more information later this summer. The best way to stay updated is to subscribe to the SGS bi-weekly newsletter and be the first to know about upcoming events and information!
